Asbestos Analyst/Surveyor Derby – Locally based
The successful candidate will need to hold a P403 & P404 qualification. You will attend our client’s sites to carry out asbestos analytical works.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Required: BOHS P403 and P404 qualifications (or equivalent).
- BOHS P402 – Asbestos Surveyors qualification or equivalent essential
- Relevant on-site experience as an authorised analyst conducting Certificates for Reoccupation on AIB, spray coating and/or pipe insulation.
- Conversant with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and all associated guidance including HSG248 (July 2021 Edition)
- Proficient in use of the Microsoft Office Package and TEAMS experience is preferable
Key Duties:
- Provide asbestos surveying services to clients, undertaking management and refurbishment & demolition surveys, taking bulk samples and providing clearly presented and well written site notes on the tablet
- To proactively engage in the training and development provided by the company
- To uphold the Code of Conduct and the requirements of the company as instructed
- To support the business by working flexibly and responsively from the company’s office or from client’s sites as required
- To be proactive to ensure that work is delivered on time by all areas of the business
- Ensure that all asbestos related work is carried out in accordance with company Asbestos Quality and Procedures and associated documentation
- To comply with our company quality procedures
- To provide quality services and information to clients, must have knowledge of all current Asbestos, health and safety and CDM regulations
- Attend operational team meetings as and when required
- Ensure that reports are completed in accordance with timescales set and to the required standard
- Compile recommendations and technically review reports as necessary
- Carry out all types of asbestos air testing and associated activities as part of a UKAS accredited organisation and in-line with company procedures
- Supervision of asbestos removal projects and as such liaising on a daily basis with clients, contractors and their representatives as well as members of the public
- Participation in both external and internal QC proficiency schemes
- To be alert to business opportunities and promote the services of the group, identify inter-company sales opportunities and pass leads
- Provide technical advice as and when required
- To carry out any other duties required as part of the overall strategy to achieve the company’s objectives
