This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced #asbestossurveyor to join an enthusiastic, rapidly expanding nationwide team delivering asbestos surveying services to our established, high profile clients.

Job Introduction

Are you an experienced Asbestos Surveyor looking for an opportunity to make a real difference in the industry?  Due to our continued growth and the acquisition of many significant contracts, we are looking to expand our team and provide real career growth to prospective candidates.

The successful candidate will need to hold a P402 as a minimum and be able to demonstrate a minimum of 5 year’s experience of site surveying work. You will attend our client’s sites to carry out asbestos surveying works.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

This is a field-based role so you will be covering the North West area, but your nearest local office is likely to be our Bury office. We are able to offer a competitive salary between £36,000 – £42,000 depending on skills and experience.   • Carrying out Management, Refurbishment and Demolition surveys on various buildings and large scale projects in accordance with associated legislation and guidance
  • Undertaking re-inspections and updating the asbestos register and management plans.
  • Work within company policies and quality systems to ensure achievement and maintenance of UKAS accreditation.
  • Composing technical drawings, as well as producing final documents for clients/customers
  • Providing recommendations for remedial works
  • Technically review reports as necessary
  • Familiarity and compliance with all asbestos relevant legislation and guidance e.g HSE and construction

Qualifications & Experience:

  • British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS) P402 – ‘Building Surveys and Bulk Sampling for Asbestos’ as a minimum
  • At least 5 years’ experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Be fluent in both verbal and written English
  • Conversant with Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and all associated guidance including HSG248 (July 2021 Edition)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Flexible approach to travelling and out-of-hours working
